Homemade York Peppermint Patties

This gives you a recipe for making your own peppermint patties.  These turned out really yummy and tasted a lot like peppermint patties.  They were easy to put together and had a very small list of ingredients, which in turn, makes it cheap to make.  These would be fun to put on a holiday plate or for a party.

LARGE BUBBLES

This pin worked to a certain degree.  That is it made bubbles but nothing as large and bouncy as these bubbles.  They say that they can bounce and not pop and I did not have that happen with mine either.  It was a bubble solution that made medium size bubbles but it did not make large bubbles.

Crock Pot Chicken and Gravy

YUM!!! This is a homey, warm, winter or anytime meal.  This was so good and great for when you just want a good, filling, home cooked meal.  It was easy to make and was cheap and did not take that much time.  You use your crock pot which is always a plus for me.  The thing that takes the longest is the mashed potatoes.  You can use noodles or rice but I am not sure how that would taste with the chicken and gravy. Overall, a really yummy meal to add to your list.

Chocolate covered strawberries

This pin did not work out either.  I ended up with a strawberry and a cube of chocolate.  They were easy enough to put together but such a waste of time and chocolate since they did not turn out at all. Overall, this was a pin that did not work at all and I would not try again.

Cleaning your Dryer Lint Trap

This pin gives you a way to clean out your dryer lint trap.  I have to say that while this did not take that much time and was easy to do, I did not notice any difference in how well or fast my clothes dried and really, unless, your dryer lint trap is really, really, unusually dirty, I am not sure I see the point in this chore.  To me it just adds one more unnecessary chore to your list.

Crepes and Cream

These were so YUMMY!!! My husband lived in Paris, France for two years so we LOVE crepes. These were really good and the whole family loved them.  They were easy to make and the cream that goes inside is really good.

French Manicure

This pin gives you a different way of painting your nails with french tips.  Basically you paint your nails and then take a paint brush with nail polish remover on it and take away any excess, leaving just the tip.  This actually worked pretty well, was cheap and easy and barley takes any time at all.

M&M Cookies

 These m&m sugar cookies turned out and were easy to make but they were not my favorite, by far.  I actually probably will not make them again but they were good, they were just not my cup of tea.  This is a fast and easy recipe and for any m&m lover they would love these cookies.  I think I may have liked them better if I had skipped the step of rolling them in sugar, that kind of put them over the top.

Using band aids for polka dots on your nails

This pin states that you can put a bandaid onto your nail and then paint over it and it will put little polka dots onto your nail.  This did not work, the few dots that came through were so tiny that you could hardly see them.  Overall, this was a fast, cheap and easy way but in the end it did not work at all.

Rocky Road Cookies

I loveeee Rocky Road Brownies so I was excited to try this recipe out.  These did not turn out at all, they were one big, gooey clump of chocolate. They were easy to put together and tasted good but they ran all over the place and just turned into gooey clumps.  I was so bummed, I guess I will be sticking to Rocky Road Brownies.

Keeping your ice cream soft

This TOTALLY WORKS!!! I am so happy, I hate having rock, hard ice cream and not being able to scoop it out.  This is so perfect that you can just take it out and scoop it right out!!!  How easy to just throw your ice cream in a ziploc when you bring it home. This is also cheap and takes no time at all. Thank you for the tip!!

Fixing your Iphone charger

I ended up buying liquid tape for this fix, from my understanding you can buy colors but all I could find was black.  After a few layers the split in the wire was gone and my charger was fixed.  The rubber is not as thick as the original rubber but it works really well and fixed the split.  The liquid tape was not too expensive and this took hardly any time at all.

Ric Rac Flower Hair Clips

I thought these were so cute and they were not hard at all to make.  The only thing that took a little bit of time was having to sew the two pieces of ric rac together.  Other than that this took hardly anytime and these turned out so cute.  I really love the look of them.

Monster Marshmallows

 How cute are these?? Ours did not turn out quite as cute but with a little practice I think you could get yours to turn out just as cute.  The kids liked the taste of them, they were cheap and did not take too long to make.  We added these to our halloween treat plates and everyone loved them.

Using Pam to dry your nails

This pin says that if you spray Pam onto your nails after you paint them, you wipe off the Pam and your nails are dry.  As you can see this did not work at all.  I sprayed it on and wiped it off and off came the nail polish I had just painted my nails with.

Homemade Caramel for Dipping Apples

As you can see my test on this recipe did not turn out nearly as pretty or nice as the one shown in the picture.  I want to try this again because I think this would be such a perfect replacement for all of those wrapped caramels and melting them but for my first try this did not work at all.  It did taste good but mine never thickened and burned on the bottom really fast.  This is a very delicate mix so you have to be careful with the heat.  It also covered the apples but not in the beautiful way in the picture. Overall, I give it a pins down.

Velcro Drawer Dividers

I was so happy to find this. We have pretty big drawers in this hours and every time I open the drawers, everything slides back and forth.  It drives me nuts!!! I used small command strips instead of velcro dots just so that they are easier to remove but this works awesome.  Now everything stays in place, YAY!!

Roast

I never have very good luck with my roasts turning out tender and yummy but this recipe made a difference.  My roast turned out tender and really good.  It was so easy to make because it is just in the crock pot and the whole family enjoyed it.  Definitely a keeper!!

Chevron Accent Wall

I saw someone on Pinterest just do one wall as an accent wall in black chevron.  I loved that idea so I painstakingly cut out chevron from my red vinyl but I love, love how it turned out.  It just gives a little punch to the rest of the room.

Sink Extender from Soap Bottle

This was not easy to make and did not work the way it is intended.  First, the bottom is so hard to cut out and I had to cut almost the whole bottom out to fit the faucet.  Then it was way to big for my sink and leaked a ton! Then when I cut it down to fit the length of the sink, it still took up the whole sink and leaked everywhere.  I was not impressed and was really hoping this would work better than it did.  Not worth the time and effort it took!!

PB Rice Krispie Balls

These are so good and so quick to make.  The only hard part was to get the chocolate to cover the whole ball.  Other than that these were so good and we ate them so fast!!!! This would be a fun and easy treat to take to a party or to just have at home.  A fun new version of rice krispie treats!

Baby Powder and Mascara

This really works!! The pin says to put one coat of mascara on and then dip your wand in baby powder and then dip it back into the mascara and then put a second coat of mascara on and it makes your lashes longer.  Not only did it work but I was able to go several applications, days later, with the one dip of baby powder and it really makes my eyelashes longer. Love this and I will use it all of the time.  I did not dip my wand I just held it over the sink and poured the baby powder on the wand.  I am sure this will work different with all the different types of mascara out there but so far so good.

Glitter Clothespin

I have to say I love this idea and it is so easy and cheap to make.  How fun would it be to have a present closed with these, or these with a magnet on the back to put anywhere, or just to give a bunch of these as a gift.  They really just make me happy :)

Apple Candles

Don't these look so pretty and it says that they will smell good too! Well mine does not looks so pretty, the candles would have to burn for a long time for that wax to melt down the side, so if you wanted to use them as a decoration for a party or something, plan to have them burning for a really long time. Also, there was absolutely no smell that came off of these apples.  I did read that you could add some cloves into them on another post so maybe that would make them actually smell.  But as for how the pin was stated this pin did not work.
