This would take you forever if you were to use this to actually spray paint something and I think you may end up with a permanent cramp in your hand from pushing the spray up and down. This is more for little craft projects when you want to give it just a little bit of that spray paint look. It is not smooth like spray paint and it is very blotchy so even if you use it as spray paint you would have to follow up with a brush. For now I would just stick to regular spray paint, you still are paying about the same but spray paint will give you better results.
