Cleaning your Oven Filters

I really almost always forget about cleaning these filters so this pin was a good excuse to get them done.  When I took them down, I thought, they are not that dirty.  Well, as you can see, in the last picture all of the gross grime around the edge of the pot and when I took them out of the water they looked so much better.  The only bummer is that you should be prepared for your stove top to end up looking like mine did and plan on having to clean up a little afterwards. Other than that, this worked really well.  This gets five stars in every area!

                                                          my stovetop after
                                                          all of the grime, yuck!

DIRECTIONS: get a large pot of water and bring to a boil, add in 1/2 cup of baking soda, slowly and then place your filters in, let sit in the water for about 10-15 minutes, remove and rinse.  You can also repeat the process if you feel you need too.
